The Lagos state council of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has concluded plans to stage a day seminar with the theme, General Administration, Financial Management and Investment and Mode of Dawah in the society.
The seminar, slated for tomorrow, Saturday at the Society Branch Hall in Isolo, Okota area of Lagos will be attended by the officers from the 37 branches across the state.
Alhaji Iskeel Ola Yusuf will be speaking on the general administration of the society, while Muritala Popoola takes on ‘Financial Management and Investment’ with Chief Imam Lateef Ekundayo dissecting the Dawah methodology of the 96-year-old Islamic organisation established to promote Islam in Nigeria.
Alhaji Kafayat Oyeditan will do justice to the topic, Responsibility of Women in the Society.
The chairman planning committee, Alhaji Moshood Zakariyau said the seminar, expected to start by 9 am will afford the participants the opportunity to return the Society to its rightful place in the area of advocacy for holistic educational pursuit and societal reforms through improved propagations to all and sundry.
Stating the objective of the seminar, Alhaji Zakariyau called for strict adherence to extant constitutional provision on the administrative style, operations and personnel election/selection into offices of the Society.
According to him, “the Society should begin to run her operations with some levels of compliance with international standards of office management and human relations befitting our status as a faith-based organization of global stature.
“Here, the role a befitting Secretariat complex, office infrastructure, technology and appropriately-skilled/committed personnel cannot be overemphasized,” he said.
The seminar, he said, will also x-ray the history of the mission board of the society and the roles of missioners in the society, which cooperate positively with the administrative arm of the society and respect all constituted authorities in the society.
