In a bid to celebrate a unique day among students of the University of Lagos, a final year student of Marine Science, Labeebah Dhikrullah today (Thursday) dressed as Muslim News Vendor.
The day, tagged ‘Costume Day’, was set special by students to celebrate and represent different walks of people in the society. On such occasions, students are seen dressed in garbs that will not only amaze others, but also remind them of values that their rare appearances represent.
While others appeared as traditional elders of tribes, sportspersons, secondary school students, including Spanish movie, Money Heist costumes, Miss Labeebah was seen dressed as a vendor of Nigerian most authoritative Islamic newspaper, Muslim News who held copies of latest editions.
She also dressed, putting a branded ‘Rawhshield PR’ facecap stylishly on her hijab.
When asked the reasons behind her choice of dressing, she responded saying, “I feel happy doing this. I am highly excited. I like to appear as a Muslim wherever I find myself and being a vendor actually makes me pass information about me to people. I am a great fan of the newspaper. I always seek to reduce ignorance and illiteracy”.
