Bola Ahmed Tinubu endorses Lagos for Qur’an 2020 as winners emerge this Saturday

The grand finale of the 34th National Qur’an Competition, otherwise known as “Lagos for Qur’an (1441) 2020″ will come to a glorious end on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The competition which was declared opened on Friday, December 27, 2019 has received a boost with the endorsement coming from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the chairman of the occasion of the grand finale.

Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos state recently affirmed his endorsement of the Qur’an Competition while receiving local organising committee led by its chairman, Otunba Abdul Fatah Olukoga.

Muslim News findings revealed that the overall winners of the national competition male and female categories will smile home with a Nissan Primera each and lots of other consolation prizes for runners up.

The National Qur’an Recitation Competition (NQRC), which started in 1986 was the initiative of the Centre for Islamic Studies, Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.
