Independent Hajj Reporters, a civil society organisation that monitors and reports hajj activities has concluded arrangements to hold its 2019 Hajj Excellence Awards to honour Hajj Service Providers that served Nigerian pilgrims during 2019 hajj.
The statement jointly signed by the National Coordinator of the organisation, Mallam Ibrahim Muhammed and Organizing Secretary, Mallam Muhammed Garba said, “In continuation of our policy of appreciating and motivating Hajj Service Providers that render excellence services to Nigerian pilgrims, Independent Hajj Reporters will honour individual diplomats, hajj administrators, hajj officials, and hajj service providers.
“2019 Hajj Excellence award will takes place on Thursday, January 23 in Abuja. Foreign dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
“Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR), is a registered non-profit comprising of Muslim journalists who seek to enlighten Nigerian pilgrims on how to perform this very important pillar of Islam. It also publishes Hajj Reporters (www.hajjreporters.com), an online newspaper dedicated to Hajj and Umrah reporting.
“Hajj Excellence Awards aims at boosting the morale and encourage hajj administrators, service providers and regulatory agencies to offer their best by giving our dear pilgrims excellence service,” the statement said.
“Some of the categories of the award include Best State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board in terms of organisation, Best State Pilgrims Board Head of Operations, Best Leader of State Delegation, Hajj Personality of the Year, Best State in Pilgrims Enlightenment, Education and Feeding, Most Organised State Pilgrims, Best Service-oriented Tour Operators, Best Hajj Air Carriers and others.
