Desist from prostitution and fornication, Scholar warns Nigerians

The National Chairman of Ansar-ud-deen Youth Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Jamiu Shoyode has called on Nigerians to desist from prostitution and fornication so as to see the benediction of Allah.

He made this statement in a one-day retreat tagged “Leadership Retreat- Share the Vision” organised by Ansar-ud-deen Youth Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Council.

“Despite the fact that Ansar-ud-deen is an Islamic association, some members are still indulging in prostitution and fornication in which if they don’t stop, they must surely see the wrath of Allah.”

In his lecture themed, “How to be an inspiring Leader”, Alhaji Shoyode said that the leader should have a crystal clear vision of the future adding that they should value their team members and be grateful to them.

He further stated that “Leaders should guide the followers not to go astray, and if they don’t do so, it might cause problem for them on the day of Qiyamaah”

Alhaji Shoyode stressed that a leader should be pious, faithful, just and trustworthy so as to carry his/her duty out successfully.

Speaking at the retreat, Imam Kolawole Kamorudeen Ola, Missioner, Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Agege branch, said members should fight their souls so as to achieve whatever they want.

In his sermon themed “Spirituality and Commitment”, he opined that the Murshid (Guider) of each branch should be spiritually upright and committed to what they are doing, in order to be rewarded by Allah

“Whatever you are doing, you are not doing it for Ansar-ud-deen, but doing it for yourself in which it is only Allah that will reward you”. He however said that the leaders should connect themselves with Allah in order to carry out their duties responsibly.

In the same vein, Comrade Abdulsalam Olatunbosun Saheed, Secretary, Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Mushin branch, reiterated that a leader should be disciplined, adding that a good leader must have a successor.

In his speech which centres on the roles of the Financial Board, he stated that the financial board should be creative so as to bring in programmes that will generate income for the branch.

Saheed urged them to issue receipt for any payment made so as to be transparent in their dealings.

In a related development, the former Amirah of Ansar-ud-deen Youth Association of Nigeria, Hajia Rofiat Tijani said that a good muslimah should be pious, loving, respectful and modest.

In her lecture with the topic: “Leadership and Society; Our responsibility”, stated that “a practising Muslimah should know that the life of this world is nothing but a test from Allah; giving her an opportunity to move closer to Allah, doing more good deeds to please him, restricting herself from the desires of her inner self that go against the will of her Creator”

Meanwhile, she said beauty is just an adornment but what will reveal the beauty of a Muslimah is her modesty, purity of soul and innocence.

He however advised Muslimahs to obey their husbands in all matters that do not go against the Qu’ran and Sunnah inorder to see the mercy of Allah.

“A woman of good manners is a blessing from Allah, when she speaks, she speaks honourably, when she deals with others, she deals with them kindly. She is polite with elders, loving to children and good to her follow folks.”
