24 patients discharged as Nigeria’s Coronavirus cases rise to 190

Nigeria is gradually recording success in the fight against the novel Coronavirus pandemic as a total number of 24 patients have recovered fully and been discharged from various isolation centers.

Findings by Muslim News revealed that most of these recoveries were recorded in Lagos, the state where the index case of Nigeria on COVID-19 emerged.

However, more cases continue to be recorded with the passing of time.

The confirmed cases as at 11:00 am, local time were put at 190 by the regulatory body overseeing the tracking and control of the disease in Nigeria, National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

In an update on its official Twitter page, the NCDC stated that there are now 190 confirmed cases, 20 discharged cases and 2 deaths. This follows the record of 6 new cases in Osun State Nigeria.

According to the NCDC, “On the 3rd of April 2020, six (6) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nigeria.

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities”.
