Alhaji Rasaq Oladejo has emerged the newly appointed President of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN).
MUSWEN is the umbrella body for all Muslims in South West Nigeria.
Alhaji Oladejo was announced the new President on Sunday during the Extra-Ordinary General Assembly of the organisation held at UI Islamic Centre, Oyo State.
With his new appointment, Alhaji Oladejo automatically becomes the Deputy President of Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), the apex body for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria.
At the event that was well attended by prominent Muslim scholars in the Southwest, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti was also appointed the Vice President of the organisation.
Muslim News findings revealed that Alhaji Oladejo — MUSWEN new president, was the immediate past National President of Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
He was very active as a member of the Central Working Committee of MUSWEN during his tenure as the President of Nawar-Ud-Deen.
Alhaji Oladejo has also been involved in the activities of NSCIA, serving in different Committees of the organisation.
