Nigeria’s Communications Minister, Isa Pantami loses uncle

Dr. Pantami

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr Isa Ali Pantami has announced the death of his paternal uncle, Alhaji Isa Ibrahim.

The minister made the announcement on his Facebook page on Wednesday around 9:00pm (Nigerian time).

Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Rajiun!

My uncle- Alhaji Isa Ibrahim passed away today in Gombe, after a brief illness. May the Almighty Allah forgive and be Merciful to him, to all our deceased parents, and our beloved ones.

It is really painful!

— Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim, CON (@ProfIsaPantami) February 3, 2021

“Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him is our return! I lost an uncle (Alh Isa Ibrahim), my father’s younger brother of the same father and mother. I was with him in Gombe last Thursday. May Almighty Allah have mercy on his soul, and on all our deceased parents. May He also grant us good passage,” he posted.

Pantami shared a similar message on Twitter.

It would be recalled that Pantami had in late November last year also lost his 13-year-old daughter Aisha Isa Ali (Amal) in Abuja.
