The Imam, VGC Central Mosque, Lagos, Sheikh Sulaiman Fulani has emphasised the need for wealthy Muslims to build or renovate the Houses of Allah, saying that the returns from such investment is invaluable.
Sheikh Fulani, while speaking at the Muharram Series 1.0 organised by Masajid Aid Foundation (MAF) noted that the construction and development of the houses of Allah on the surface of the earth would guarantee Allah building a house for such individuals in paradise.
The event, which had in attendance other prominent Muslim scholars, including the Chief Imam, Lekki Central Mosque, Sheikh Ridwan Jamiu took place at the Jubrila Ayinla Multipurpose Hall, Lekki Central Mosque, Lagos, with the theme; Investment with Excellent Returns.
The event was chaired by Alhaji Tajudeen Sobayo.
In his words, Sheikh Sulaiman noted, “when people want to put their money into any investment, they would always ensure they do in an investment that is guaranteed, not volatile, less stressful and offers high form of returns. All of these combined in an investment, makes it attractive. But business like this is rare.
“Allah knows this is what we are looking for as humans and He has given us an investment that has all of these. He promised the investment is not only with huge returns, but also would save us from us from grave punishment. Allah has requested for our money to give us unimaginable returns. No matter how little you contribute to building a mosque, Allah will build for you a house in Jannah. Turn back to Allah, He is the only one that can give you the investment that will never fail.”
Speaking on, he said “When the person talking is a person with unlimited resources, then you should have some trust in him. This is from Allah. Allah has invited us to enter into a business transaction with him and He would not allow it to fail. The profit from the transaction with Allah is not only in the form you gave Him. You give Him money, He gives more than money.

“One of the things He gives back is health. Remember, health is wealth. If you have all in this world without health, it is meaningless. The Prophet (PBUH) advised we treat our sick with charity. This can be done through building a house for Allah. Also, in the hereafter, you will determine how large your shade will be on the day the sun will be just a mile away from our heads, owing to how you give sodaqah while on the surface of the earth. The promise of Allah is way beyond our imagination”, he noted.
In his speech, the Chairman of the foundation, Alhaji Engr. Nurudeen Bale noted the foundation, within its one year of existence, has embarked on masjid construction, utility upgrade and maintenance.
“Masajid Aid Foundation was established to represent a reliable conduit for meeting the congregational needs of Muslim Communities, and facilitating the sourcing, design, construction and maintenance of Masajid and associated infrastructure within Nigeria.
“Since we started operations last year, we have been utilising the few donations we have been getting from donors within and outside the country. At the moment, we are building a mosque in Ajibode town of Sango in Ogun state. This project started from the scratch, after a member of the community gave the piece of land. Alhamdulilah, work is going on fine.

“Equally, we have and still carrying out utility upgrade and maintenance projects such as drilling of boreholes, building ablution centers, tiling amongst others. We are optimistic that with our donations, we will be able to achieve our goal of building a mosque in all streets of the country, bi idhniLlah. We ask Allah to accept it from us and reward us excellently with massive returns”, he unveiled.
In his welcome address, the chairman of the event, Alhaji Tajudeen Sobayo advised all to grab the opportunity availed them by the foundation.
“One of the most beneficial actions one can embark on is to build a mosque, as told by our teachers. If you build a mosque on the surface of the earth, Allah will build a house for you in Jannah. The challenge upon all of us, is to make efforts to achieve that action. The mission is to aid everyone of us in achieving this goal of building a mosque on the surface of the earth. We pray to Allah to give us the wherewithal to trade with Allah. Let us do all possible to take this opportunity Masajid Aid Foundation has provided us with”.
