The Darul Amin Foundation, which has been operating in Nigeria for many years with the help of Turkish philanthropists, continues to distribute food to 13,500 families during the month of Ramadan in different parts of the country.
Burak Karabulut, the Secretary General of the Foundation, said that they distributed aid to 8 states, including Borno and Adamawa states, where the terrorist organization, Boko Haram has been a menace.
Karabulut stated that the foundation, with the assistance from Turkey, organised activities such as health screening, education and social activities in different regions during Ramadan
“Ramadan packages and alms (money) sent from Turkey were delivered to the indigent families. As the days go by, the benefits also increase.”
Muslim News gathered that the Foundation did not forget orphans during Ramadan as it gives iftars to 100 orphans every day.
At the same time, holiday (festival) gift packages consisting of dresses and shoes were also distributed to these children.
