– Avoid escalating your differences to external persons: Prof. Elesin
A-Z Diamond Event Centre in Olorunsogo, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital was filled to capacity on Saturday, 11th June 2022 as families, friends, and colleagues, among other well-wishers witnessed the celebration of the nikkah between Yusuf Oluwaremilekun Babatunde and Zainab Oluwakemi Tepamose.
Yusuf, the groom, is a graduate of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (formerly LASPOTECH) and a cyber security analyst.
Zainab, the bride, graduated from Kwara State University (KWASU) where she studied Accounting and is now the proprietress of an online pastry brand, Zaey Fingerfoods on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp.
Earlier, the aqd was performed at the bride’s father’s home in Ilorin, officiated by Sheikh AbdulLateef Aniyan and Prof. AbdulWahab Elesin.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Elesin who gave words of advice to the couple urged them to live amicably between themselves and avoid escalating their differences to external persons. He told them to settle whatever differences that may arise within themselves.
Prof. Elesin who teaches Common and Islamic Law at KWASU, Malete congratulated the newlywed, while praying to Allah to direct their marital life.
Tagged the #YZUnion, the wedding ceremony had varieties of dishes and non-alcoholic drinks served to attendees who savoured them as monitored by our reporter.
I feel fulfilled – Groom
In a chat with Muslim News, Yusuf said he felt fulfilled upon getting married as it means completing half of his Deen.
He said that he met his bride through her elder sister’s friend who is an upright Muslimah and a scribe.
“We happen to have known each other for a long time upon steadfastness. What attracted her to me include her uprightness in terms of deen, excellent conduct, beautiful character, intelligence, steadfastness and good morals,” he added.
I feel happy and grateful – Bride
For her part, the bride, Zainab said she had always looked forward to the day she would marry her soulmate.
“It feels like a dream come true. So, I feel happy and grateful. AlhamduliLah!”
The bride explained that she funnily had a list of what she wanted in a man that would become her husband written down.
“Yusuf ticked almost all the boxes. AlhamduliLah! He’s got almost what I want in a spouse. I like that he is very intelligent. Ma shaa Allah”, she added.
