The Agege Branch of MTTMA, a group of Muslim youths in Lagos State has concluded all arrangements to hold a symposium on health talk, focusing on midlife challenges and awards presentation for deserving and outstanding Muslim icons.
The life-changing event themed, “Challenges at Age 40 and Above” will also feature sessions and discussions on retirement plans, business and technology.
Organisers told Muslim News on Wednesday that the gathering, first of its kind, will not only prepare Muslim professionals to manage the opportunities and challenges of midlife era, but also afford them good time to network and share ideas.
The lead facilitator for the event slated for Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Academic Inn and Multipurpose Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos State, is Dr. Abdulwasiu Busari, a Consultant Physician and Nephrologist/HOD, Nephrology Department, Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos.
Mr. Olufemi Wasiu Balogun, Co-founder/CEO PayVantage Limited will also speak to the topic, “Adapting and Adopting Digital Technology.”
According to the organisers, We have observed that at age 40, people need to understand issues surrounding health, retirement, using technology to scale up their businesses because they are of great interest to them. Many people around that age have health-related issues, retirement and financial issues, but do not know how to go about it.
“This programme is targeted at this audience; the middle-aged. We have put together a team of competent discussants who will give them educative and inspiring talks on these grey areas.
“We have also observed that there are some Muslim individuals who are doing exceptionally well in their various fields of endeavours but haven’t been celebrated. This programme is also meant for them. They are our icons and they deserved to be celebrated,” Engr. Ibrahim Abdul, PhD, who is the Coordinator of the group in Agege area of Lagos, added.
