For the first time, Nigerian fun lovers would have the opportunity to watch two faith-based movies during the 2023 Eid-el-Fitr holiday, as Arabel Productions, Prudent media and KarfyComm Dawah Group premiere Two Aishas and Orę Àtàtà (he promised us gifts).
The two movies with inspiring and heart-touching storylines will be showing on Monday, April 24 (Eid public holiday) at different cinemas and centres across Nigeria, Lagos and FCT, Abuja inclusive.
Muslim News Islamtainment revealed that Orę Àtàtà, written and produced by Nollywood actor, Kabirah Kafidipe is scheduled for premiere at Ostra Halls and Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, April 24 (public holiday), from 2pm with limited seats available.
The movie parades some best actors in the industry including Adebayo Salami, Kareem Adepoju, Taiwo Hassan, Afeez Abiodun, Kabirah Kafidipe and introduces a new act, Ibrahim Oluwarotimi.
Special appearance by Hon. AbdulLateef AbdulHakeem, the immediate former Commissioner for Home Affairs in Lagos state, who wrote the story.
Speaking with Muslim News on the motivation behind the story, Kafidipe said, “This movie is a true life story of a Muslim brother as told by Dr. AbdulHakeem Abdullateef and adapted by me to the movie. It is my second faith-based movie after the success of ‘A date with Asmau’.
“It bothers on standing firm to our faith and believe that Allah is always there with us all the way in our times of trial and hardship. Also, to remember that others are always watching us and may learn one or two things from our steadfastness. It enjoins everyone to be good ambassadors of Islam in our deeds and character and living in the light of the way of our Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

The Two Aishas
The CEO of Arabel Productions, Alhaja Shereefah Abiola Andu, pitched two leading Kannywood star acts Rahama Sadau and Maryam Booth against each other in The Two Aishas, a new feature expected to hit the cinema nationwide from Monday, April 24.
Before the movie begins showing at the cinema on Monday, the premiere will bring together the creme de la creme of the society on Sunday, April 23 at ‘The Jewel Aeida’, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, with the theme: Arabian, Glitz and Glamour.
The event, which starts with a red carpet, is strictly by invitation.
The Two Aishas – distributed by Filmone, showcases the beauty of Islam and culture, while addressing relatable themes such as forgiveness, betrayal, love, rivalry and piousness.
The film, which also features Paul Utomi, Akeem Ogara, Shushu Abubakar, Nyma Akashat-Zibiri and Sulaiman Aledeh among others, is a brainchild of top Nigerian fashion star Shareefah Abiola Andu, who is known as the face behind the popular Islamic merchandizing brand, Arabel.
Speaking with Muslim News, Alhaja Abiola-Andu said the movie is about two best friends from childhood who are married and something along the line caused them to have a rift.
According to her, “They became enemies. They became rivals and that threatened their faith as Muslims but at the end of the day they got back to the real essence of Islam. You would see forgiveness, empathy, understanding. You would see love and tolerance.
“So, it is not just a ‘feel good’, it is actually a lesson-filled film because what is the point of going to the cinema and spending an hour and half just to laugh. It is good to laugh, but then, if you are laughing you must still gain something out of it.”
Keep up the good work. Allah and the Muslims see your work. He will surely support and reword you.
Success insha-Allah
