It was another round of success story as the management and congregation of Ololo Central Mosque celebrated the second batch of a scholarship exercise for the year 2023 where 22 students in the community benefited.
The students were given full scholarships for both their western and Islamic education from primary to secondary level, after which the best three will be given full scholarships to study in any university of their choice within the country.
Ololo Muslim community Central Mosque is located at 6, Azeez Tijani Street, Ololo, off Olufunsho Street, Satinal Ondo road, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, with over 500 members.
The Chief Imam, Imam Abdullah Yusau and the chairman committee of the mosque, Prince Fetuga Hakeem along with other dignitaries set welfare plan as priority in societal reformation.
The programme started in 2022 with the inauguration of a welfare committee headed by Imam Tiamiyu A.A, where 12 Muslims and 6 non-Muslims students were given full scholarships for their primary and secondary education.
With the special grace of Almighty Allah, the welfare committee was able to extend the welfare plan by feeding the aged with food stuff, free medical caravan to 100 people and lots more in the first year of operation.
This year, the committee started with the continuous sponsoring of the existing students with four new students, making 22.
Ten (10) aged persons are set to benefit from the “Feeding The Aged” exercise that will come up in October 2023 in shaa Allah .
A free medical check up exercise with free drugs is set to be held by April 2024 before the commencement of Ramadan where 200 people are set to be benefitted.
Feeding the fasting Muslims is another big event that will come up on ‘Eid day where no less than 100 fasting Muslims will be given’ Eid packages to make every household happy on ‘Eid day.
The success story lies with Allah through the commitment and support of philanthropists who are funding the exercise to benefit the vulnerable.
