Sheikh Imran Eleha, Sa’eed Salman, Gbenga Kaka, Others for TMC’s Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Lecture

The Muslim Congress (TMC), Ogun State chapter has finalised plans to mark Nigeria’s 62nd Independence anniversary with special lecture and essay competition on Monday 3rd October, 2022 at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

In a statement by the State Coordinator of TMC, Dr AbdulRazaq Ogunmoye said the annual lecture in its 15th year, which has its theme as: “Restoring Our Pristine National Values” start 10 O’ clock in the morning is expected to witness the attendance of thousands of Muslims across the State.

The lecture will be centered on national discussion by scholars, elder statesmen, royal fathers, clerics, professors, professionals, government functionaries brainstorming on the team of the annual lecture.

Dr Ogunmoye added that the lecture will be delivered by Sheikh Imran Abdul Majeed Eleha, Chief Imam of Daaru Noim as well as another Sheikh Saeed Salmon, Principal Assistant Registrar, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State.

The topics to be discussed by the two erudite Islamic scholars are: “Attaining our Dream Nationhood: Nurturing The Youth for Decent Leadership” to be delivered by Sheikh Imran Abdul Majeed Eleha, while Sheikh Saeed Salmon will talk on the topic: “Engendering Morality And The Sanctity of Life: The Islamic Model ”.

The event is expected to be chaired by the former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaji Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka with keynote addresses by the immediate past Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Maruf Afuape.

The Spiritual Father of the day is the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Liadi Orunsolu and His Royal Majesty, Professor Adeyemi AbdulKabir Obalanlege, Olota of Ota, as Royal Father of the day.
