Gaza: Israel destroyed, damaged scores of mosques, churches, schools

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip stated yesterday that the continued Israeli raids on the Strip since 7 October have led to the destruction of 47 mosques and damaged three churches.

The Director of the office, Salama Marouf, said in a press conference that the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip destroyed 47 mosques and damaged three churches, 203 schools, in addition to 80 government headquarters.

Marouf explained that 220,000 housing units were damaged due to the Israeli aggression, of which 32,000 were completely destroyed.

He pointed out that the number of medical personnel killed has reached 116, while 18 rescuers and members of the civil defence teams were also killed, along with 35 journalist martyrs.
