Dignitaries from far and near would this morning, Saturday, storm Odosengolu, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State for the 13th graduation ceremony of Vanguards Academy.
The much anticipated annual event, billed for 10am at the school premises, would see the school graduate 62 students, making the total number of her graduates 702 since inception in 2007, when it graduated its first set of 13 students.
Muslim News gathered that graduating and Shahadah students who have performed excellently in their studies would be recognised and presented with gifts in the presence of parents, families and well wishers.
The guest lecturer, an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria and the Amir of The Muslim Congress, Dr Lukman Abdurraheem is expected to speak on the theme, “Rose from the Rock”.
Dignitaries expected at the event include The Oluomo of Ijebu Isiwo Land, Alhaji AbdurRazaq Tunji Ilelaboye, the Are of Iberekodo, High Chief Moshood Adewale Musefiu, and a Director at the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Alhaja Oluwatoyin M. Oloko among others.
The Mudeer, Markaz Hudar Rahman, Ijebu Ode, Sheikh Ibrahim AbdulAzeez Az-Zakawy is the spiritual father of the day and the Aladeken of Oke Ado, H.R.M Oba J.A Osunsami is the Royal Father of the day.
The event would be chaired by the duo of Alhaji Lasisi Saheed and Alhaja Hamzat Fateemah.
