The Dawn NG, a Nigerian Muslim professional group and youth-focused organisation, has announced the inauguration of its new Executive Council for the 2025–2027 tenure, following the successful conclusion of the Dawah Holiday Programme 2025 (DHP’25) held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The announcement was made in a press statement issued on Friday by the newly inaugurated National Amir, Abdullah Mumuni, and the organisation’s Head of Media, Abdul-hamid Bello.
They explained that the leadership transition, formally unveiled during the closing session of DHP’25, represents a strategic step toward strengthening institutional governance, expanding da‘wah activities, and advancing sustainable development across all operational districts of the organisation.
According to the statement, the newly appointed executives have been entrusted with steering the affairs of The Dawn over the next two years in line with its mission of faith-based development, youth engagement, and impactful community service.
Abdullah Mumuni will serve as the National Amir, with Salahudeen Ogundipe as Naibul Amir. Monsuroh Odunlami was appointed Amirah, while A’isha Yusuf will serve as Naibatul Amirah.
The secretariat will be led by Sodiq Zakariyah as General Secretary and Head of Strategic Development and Partnerships, assisted by Habeebah Busari as Assistant General Secretary.
The organisation’s da‘wah activities will be coordinated by Abdulsobur Aderemi and Al-Ameen Mumuni, while the Media Department will be headed by Abdul-hamid Bello, with A’isha Adesina serving as Editor.
Financial affairs of the organisation will be overseen by Alli-Balogun Fathiatullah as Head of Finance, assisted by Fatima Adeoti as Deputy.
The new Executive Council also includes Abdulhafeez Aboto and Habeebah Adelu as Ex-Officio members. At the district level, Ahmad Olarewaju, Habeebullah Abubakar, Abdullateef Adekoya, Kamourdeen Muhammad, and Yasir Buhari were appointed coordinators for Abuja, Kwara, Lagos, Osun, and Oyo districts respectively, alongside their deputies and second coordinators.
The new leadership expressed appreciation to the immediate past executives for their service and dedication, noting that their contributions laid a strong foundation for the organisation’s growth.
They added that the conclusion of DHP’25 signals the beginning of a renewed phase of unity, strategic clarity, and purposeful engagement across all districts as The Dawn continues to pursue principled leadership, impactful da‘wah, and community transformation.
