The monthly Fiqh Forum Lagos will hold tomorrow, Sunday, May 10, at the TMC Da’wah Centre, Ijeshatedo, Lagos, featuring a special lecture by the Grand Mufti of the Conference of Islamic Organisations, Sheikh Dhikrullahi Shafi’i.
Muslim News gathered that the forum, scheduled for 10:00am, will focus on the topic: “Fiqh of Sacrifice and Eid al-Adha,” with discussions expected to explore the jurisprudential rulings, spiritual significance, and practical guidelines surrounding the annual Islamic rite.
The organisers said the session is aimed at helping Muslims gain deeper understanding of the laws and ethics relating to Eid al-Adha celebrations, particularly the act of sacrifice (udhiyah/qurbani), which remains one of the most symbolic acts of devotion in Islam.
The gathering is also expected to provide clarity on common questions surrounding eligibility, conditions, sharing of sacrificial meat, timing, and other contemporary issues related to the festival.
As Muslims prepare for the forthcoming Eid al-Adha, the forum presents an opportunity for participants to learn directly from an experienced scholar well grounded in Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary realities.
Organisers noted that the monthly Fiqh Forum continues to serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, intellectual engagement, and practical guidance on issues affecting the daily lives of Muslims.
Participants are expected to benefit from interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions designed to deepen understanding of Islamic rulings and their practical applications.
The event will take place at the TMC Da’wah Centre, Ijeshatedo, Lagos, by 10:00am.
