Announcing the online release, the Wadud Family encouraged Muslim families to watch the film together, reflect on its lessons and share it with friends, relatives, Islamic organisations and mosque communities.
The family described its productions as “Islamic films made by family, for families”, highlighting its focus on creating content that entertains while promoting Islamic values and strengthening relationships within the home.
The film’s title draws on Surah Ash-Sharh, also known as Surah Al-Inshirah, verses 5 and 6, which affirm that hardship is accompanied by ease. The message provides a central theme for the production, encouraging viewers to maintain faith and hope during difficult circumstances.
Film promotes Islamic values at home
In an earlier interview with Muslim News Nigeria ahead of the film’s cinema premieres, Aliyu Ilias, the story writer and one of the cast members, said the production was designed to show how families could remain committed to Islam while facing everyday difficulties.
“We wanted to show how a family can stay steadfast in Islam even during life’s toughest moments. It is a story that encourages families to trust in Allah, support one another, and find hope after hardship,” Ilias said.
He explained that the film portrays a struggling family navigating life’s challenges while holding on to Islamic teachings.
According to him, the production also seeks to deepen Islamic understanding within the home by encouraging families to practise the Sunnah and face difficulties together.
The film’s family-centred approach reflects the importance of nurturing faith, patience and mutual support among parents and children, particularly during periods of hardship.
