Saudi launches advanced self-sterilization at gates of Grand Mosque as COVID-19 cases exceed 35,000

Saudi Arabia has inaugurated the advanced self-sterilization gates in the entrances to the Grand Mosque.

These gates are equipped with the latest technologies and are installed as part of the precautionary measures that have been carried out since the outbreak of coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19).

The number of COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia has already exceeded 35,000 as at the time of filing this report on Sunday, as the kingdom struggles to get to grips with rising numbers of new infections.

But the advanced gates are used for sterilizing people with sanitizer spray and equipped with thermal cameras to test temperatures from 6 meters and a smart screen for speed-reading of temperatures of several people at the same time.

These advanced gates have been set up within the preventive and precautionary measures that were taken by the presidency to confront coronavirus pandemic.
