Today,18th of June, we remember our beloved father in the Deen, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Arisekola Alao, CON, who died exactly six years ago. He was 69. The great Muslim philanthropist was the first Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, second Aare of Ibadanland and former Vice-President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA). He was one of the most illustrous forerunners in Islam and the media entrepreneur. He established The Monitor newspaper in order to give Muslims a voice and identity. May almighty Allah accept all his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Aljannah Firdaus. May Allah bless this Ummah with his likes. Ameen.
