Muslim Vocal Act drops first album, says it addresses the situation of Muslims

Muslim vocal artiste, Wonuola Tahj popularly known as Sogheer has finally released his much awaited first studio album, titled, KONTROFAASI, featuring renowned Nasheed artistes in Nigeria.

Laced with 100% vocal rendition and thought-provoking lyrics, the 17-track body of work was released on Thursday, September 3, 2020 under the stables of The Crescents Entertainment.

On the same day, the artiste dropped the visual of KONTROFAASI, one of the tracks in the album which depicted the current situation of Muslims, most especially in South-western Nigeria.

Muslim News Islamtainment gathered that the video which has been receiving positive reviews from pundits on social media was directed by Sogheer himself.

The remaining 16 tracklist include; None Like Him, My Lord, Blunder, Masjid Calling, Ramadan, La ilaha Illa Allah, Nikkah Song 2.O, Temitope, Freaking Munafiqeen, Scene of Zina, Broken, Kini Koko, Divorce and SubhanaLlah.

The last two, Ya Rabb Al-ameen and Ummah Once Known featured fascinating performances of Dr. Faruq and Black Child (AbdulQudus Ajibola Ibn Thaoban) respectively.

“The new album, KONTROFAASI will address the pathetic controversial situation of the Muslim Ummah,” Sogheer said, while explaining to Muslim News Islamtainment, the motivation behind the songs which he said is without musical instruments.

According to him, Muslims are the victims everywhere. The Ummah Once Known has become a mannequin and we have delved into unnecessary controversies which has led to our current pathetic state.

“Every time, we lay claim on our strength of 1.8 billion Muslims and still counting. In reality, we are just 1.8 billion disunited people,” he added.

Sogheer, who is also into filmmaking said the album also highlighted the importance of Tawheed (belief in Allah) as well as admonishing Muslim faithful of why the ‘Ummah Once Known’ needs to retrace its steps and glorify Allah.

KONTROFAASI has been released on www.sogheer.com and all online media distribution platforms including iTunes and Spotify.
