Kurulus Osman Season 2 Release Date: Everything we know about the next installment of the Turkish historical drama

Season 1 of the epic Turkish historical drama Kurlus Osman has only just concluded, but fans are already desperate to know when the series will return.

When the Turkish series Kurulus Osman premiered in late-2019, not many of us thought it would become one of the world’s biggest historical dramas.

Over a very long 27-episode season, the show was not only watched by millions of people around the world but was widely praised by critics for its intricate storytelling.

Now that season 1 has concluded, fans are looking ahead to the future and wondering when the epic saga of Osman Bey will return to their screens.

KURULUS OSMAN SEASON 2: RELEASE DATE

At the time of writing, we don’t have an official release date for Kurulus Osman season 2, but multiple rumours suggest a November 2020 premiere.

The vast majority of rumours and fan theories about the release date for season 2 suggest a release date in the final week of November or the first week of December. This would be roughly the same time frame for the season 1 release date and suggest a similar release schedule for the following season.

However, NextEpisode.net have season 2 episode 1 as releasing on Wednesday, November 4. So, with no official information available, there are obviously some differences in opinion here.

Playing devil’s advocate, I predict that season 2 will not premiere until early-2021 due to a mixture of coronavirus-related production delays and scheduling conflicts – a view shared by Life Kino.

KURULUS OSMAN SEASON 2: CAST

According to multiple sources, there are a host of new characters that will be coming in season 2 of Kurulus Osman, including Bahadir’s uncle (Yavlak Hasan) and Geyhatu (the Mongolian commander).

Otherwise, we expect that the majority of the original cast from season 1 will be making a return for the second season, with appearances from Savci, Roshan Alp and Ertuğrul Gazi, the father of Osman and the lead character in Diriliş Ertuğrul.

There are also rumours that Hayme Ana will make a return, although many fans presume that she is dead at this point in the story.

KURULUS OSMAN SEASON 2: PLOT

At the time of writing, there is no official information or leaks form the production team as to what the storyline for season 2 will be. That being said, we can expect the plot to follow that of season 1 pretty much directly.

However, if the rumours are true and we do see an introduction of Geyhatu, I expect the storyline to follow his relationship with Osman – with a few major battles along the way.
