Renowned Sudanese Qur’an reciter Sheikh Nurayn Muhammad Siddiq is dead

The Muslim Ummah in Sudan and the world in general, have been thrown into mourning following the reported death of Nurayn Muhammad Siddiq.

Sheikh Norayn (with different spellings such as Noreen, Nurain, Nureyn, etc), one of world’s best Qur’an reciters was said to have died on Friday in a fatal car crash in Sudan alongside some other Huffadh (Qur’an memorisers).

His name is Sheikh Noreen Mohamed Sadiq.

Muslim News couldn’t ascertain the news from his family or the Sudan authorities but multiple handles on social media confirmed the news, with the same account.

According to Omar Suleiman on his verified Twitter handle @omarsuleiman504;

The world has lost one of the most beautiful Quran reciters of our time in a car accident today. Shaykh Nurayn Muhammad Siddeeq of Sudan (rahimahullah).

May Allah have mercy on him and grant him Shahada. Ameen pic.twitter.com/5mgWdLaXel

Also, Muslim Daily with the Twitter handle @BirdsofJannah, tweeted: Shaykh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq has sadly passed away after a fatal car accident in Sudan along with some other Huffadh. May Allah have mercy on them all and grant them Jannah, Ameen.
