The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the embassies of Turkiye and Syria in Abuja, where it expressed sadness over the death of victims of the earthquake in the two brotherly countries.
Muslim News had reported that no fewer than 40,000 people have lost their lives to the incident which occured on Monday, February 6, as rescue operations continue in the Southern Turkiye and Northern Syria.
FOMWAN, a not-for-profit civil society umbrella body for Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria was led by its national Amirah (President), Alhaja Rafi’ah Idowu Sanni and other top executive cabinet members at national, state and local government (area councils) levels.
Hajiah Sanni signed the condolence register on behalf of the organisation, praying Allah to forgive the victims, heal the wounded and put an end to calamity in the affected regions and the world at large. See video HERE
