Leading management firm, The Temple Company has held the second Ramadan lecture in honour of late Nigerian rapper, songwriter, Abdul-Ganiyu Olanrewaju Fasasi, famously known as Sound Sultan.
The lecture, which was held in a hybrid model (via zoom and physically) at the Temple HQ, Lagos, southwest, Nigeria, on Wednesday, April 12, culminated into iftar – the traditional breaking of fast.
Present at the religious event were Sound Sultan’s widow, Farida and his three beautiful children, Zara, Mayowa and Bidemi.

Muslim News gathered that the lecture was organised for the Muslims in the creative industry. Notable entertainers who graced the event include Bisola Aiyeola, Mimi Onalaja, Maryam Bakre (Moricoco), VJ Adams, Dija among others.
Speaking on the topic, Achieving a sound heart, Sheikh Jubril Saba tasked the entertainers to leverage their mass influence to propagate virtues of Islam and good conduct in their sector.
Also in attendance were the late singer’s brother, Dare Fasasi aka Baba Dee, the Chief Executive Officer of Temple Management Company and Ogidi Studios, Idris Olorunnimbe, colleagues, friends, members and staff of the Temple Management Company and the media.
The legendary singer died on July 11, 2021 and buried at a cemetery in New Jersey, United States, US, according to Islamic rites. May Allah rest his soul, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into the highest ranks of Jannah. May the Almighty grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Aameen.
