The Governing Council, Advisory Council, Management and entire members of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (IIFP) has congratulated her former registrar Olanrewaju Sharafa on his induction as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN.
Olanrewaju is among the 1,503 fellows inducted today, Saturday, May 20 at the 21st conferment of fellowship status ceremony held at All Season Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
In a congratulatory message signed by its President & Chairman, Prof. Tajudeen Yusuf, IIFP felicitates with Olanrewaju, saying that his decades of transforming and contributing to the development of the accounting profession globally has earned him yet another feather.
Prof. Yusuf said, “You dreamed big, worked hard and earned the recognition that comes with your new title.
“As the founding registrar and member of council of the pioneer and foremost Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals in Nigeria, we are more than confident that your new feather will further help in positioning you strategically in the world for the growth of the accounting profession.
“As you look forward to new adventures and opportunities, we pray Allah (S.W.T) to increase you in health, wealth, wisdom and piety. (Amin),”‘ he added.
Olanrewaju, BSc (Lagos), MSc (London), ACG, FCA, AFA, AAIA, is a respected educational manager recognised for his expertise in corporate governance. He has more than seven years of experience directing initiatives, securing funding, administering budgets, monitoring educational outcomes and enabling students to attain career qualification criteria through classroom instruction.
His award-winning thesis topic is Sustainability Reporting within a Corporate Governance Context: Theory and Empirical Sectoral Evidence from Nigeria (2019 – 2021). He is expected to complete the requirements for his Doctorate in Accounting and Finance degree with an emphasis on Corporate Governance in October of 2024 at Canterbury Christ Church University, England.
