Ms Roseline Iretiola, who works at a real estate agency office in Abuja, on Friday, December 1, embraced Islam, at the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), National Mosque, Abuja.
Ms Iretiola, who hails from Ekiti State, southwest, Nigeria, has adopted Aishah as her name.
The national amirah of FOMWAN, an umbrella body for Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria, Alhaja Rafiah Idowu-Sanni, confirmed the news to Muslim News.
She welcomed Ms Aisha to Islam, the only ordained religion by Allah for mankind.
She said, “Our sister has embraced Islam today at FOMWAN National Mosque, Abuja. She has taken the ghusl (spiritual purification) bath and Shahadah (declaration of faith in one God). The Chief Imam that led today’s Juma’ah also prayed for her during Khutbah and all the congregation said Ameen to the prayer.”
Alhaja Idowu-Sanni presented Ms Aisha with a copy of the glorious Quran and other Islamic literature such as Guide to Salat for Beginners, and Status of Woman in Islam, among others.

Other National executives of the Association, including Hajia Akashat (National Assistant Da’wah officer); Hajia Lateefah Giwa (Finance Mobilisation Committee Chairman) and members of Utako district in Abuja and environs, were also present during the ceremony.
