The Muslim community in Lateef Kayode Jakande (LKJ) Gardens, Lagos State is set to organise a special iftar on Saturday, 15th March 2025.
To be held at the LKJ Gardens general car park, the special iftar will serve as an avenue for members of the community to spend quality time together and share the joy of the holy month.
Muslim News gathered that the special iftar has become a tradition for the LKJ Gardens Muslim Community over the years.
Invitations are also extended to Christian residents of the Gardens.
At this year’s edition of the special iftar, the Muslim community is mobilising the sum of ₦25 million to support the community masjid.
The special iftar/fundraising for the community masjid will be chaired by Prince Sulaiman Olagunju, Executive Director/CEO, Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation.

The event will also feature a lecture to be delivered by the Director (Executive Education and Consultancy) Nungu Business School, Dr. Jubril Salaudeen.
Dignitaries expected at the special iftar include Baba Adinni of Lagos and Executive Chairman, Lagos Central Mosque, Alhaji Sikiru Alabi-Macfoy; Chairman Muslim Community of Lagos State (MCLS), Alhaji Muḥammad Oyinlomo Danmole.
Others are the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Housing, Engr. AbdulAfis Toriola; Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Lands, Alhaji Kamar Olowosago; former Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Housing, Alhaji AbdulWasiu Akewusola, among others.
