Arsenal’s Özil condemns violent attacks in France, says terrorism has no place in Islam

English club Arsenal’s star, Mesut Ozil has heavily condemned the recent Islamic terror attacks in France, after three more people were horrifically killed in Nice on Thursday.

The 32-year-old, who is a devout Muslim, took to social media on Friday to publicly state that there is ‘no place for terrorism in Islam’.

Ozil tweeted a picture of himself at the holy Islamic site of Mecca along with a quote from the Qur’an, which read:

‘Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind and whoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.

  1. What is Islamic about the terror attack in France. If the mainstream media are inserting “Islamic” in a terror attack committed by someone supposedly bearing a name that appear to be Islamic, should a media outlet that claim to be representing Muslim join them in using the word “Islamic terror” attack?? Islam has nothing to do with terror attack and we should stop making the mistake of projecting the non Muslim narrative of attaching Islam to these abhorrent actions. Why didn’t they write Christian terror attack when two women in hijab were stabbed in Eiffel Tower??
