The Conversation: Few weeks to Israeli elections
———————–
Trump: Bibi, don’t you think it’s time I gave you full recognition over the Golan Heights?
Netanyahu: That’s my dream gift, you know? But won’t the Arab world and the Muslims raise eyebrows?
Trump: Those ones, we’ll buy them, like we did when I moved your embassy to their Masjid Aqsa. They’ll only shout and move on…
Bibi: Hahahahahah

Analysis: The dialogue in the cartoon might be comical, but frankly speaking, it is the truth. That’s the reality of today’s Muslims, a similitude of what Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said in an authentic narration. He said: “The nations are about to call each other and set upon you, just as diners set upon food.” It was said: “Will it be because of our small number that day?” He said: “Rather, on that day you will be many, but you will be like foam, like the foam on the river. And Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will throw wahn (weakness) into your hearts.” Someone said: “O Messenger of Allah! What is wahn?” He said: “Love of the world and the hatred for death.”
Indeed, today’s Muslims enjoy a large population. We’re also the world’s fastest growing religious group, but our rapid growth is not saving Masjid Aqsa, Jerusalem from the bloodthirsty Zionist land grabbers. What did the Arab world of about 22 Muslim countries do to stop Israel and US from relocating their embassies from Tel – Aviv to Jerusalem? As indicated in the cartoon conversation, while some countries kept criminal silence, the few ones shouted “we’ll not take it” as usual, and later moved on.
The US under President Trump violated all the international laws on Jerusalem in the interest of Israel, but couldn’t get sanctioned by the United Nations because of internal politics. Unfortunately, a year later, President Trump provoked another global anger by recognising Israel’s claim to the disputed Golan Heights, which is a gross violation of international law.
For the records, Netanyahu and Trump are both getting away with impunity against Muslims. Trump – who came to power in 2016 as president of the US, is leading an overtly Islamophobic government, and exposing Muslims to attacks from far-right terrorists. The Israeli PM, Netanyahu doesn’t even care if the victims of his decade-old ruthless apartheid regime were kids, aged females and males, as long as he serves the interest of “only the Jewish people.”
Evidently, Trump’s endorsement of Israeli sovereignty over Golan Heights at this time is for the political interest of Netanyahu, who is seeking re-election for the fifth term in the April 9, 2019 legislative elections. But, will the Syrians and the Arab world open their eyes and allow Trump and Bibi to pull Jerusalem’s stunt in Golan Heights? Only time will tell.
