Gov Wike can demolish our mosque but cannot stop us from worshiping Allah – Muslim faithful

Gov Wike

Apparently rising above the pains and the harrowing experience of Governor Nyesom Wike’s wicked and preemptive demolition of their mosque, the Muslim faithful trooped out as always, and observed their Jumaat service on the ruins of the demolished multi million naira Trans-Amadi Central Mosque, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Muslim News had, on Thursday, reported how the officials of the Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning stormed the mosque with armed policemen to effect the demolition.

They alleged that the mosque structure didn’t comply with the state urban development law but the mosque debunked the claim, stressing that the land was duly approved by the government with court judgement in its favour.

While many felt the demolition would hinder the observance of the last Friday prayer, the Muslim faithful turned out in their numbers and observed solat on the demolished building with a message that their mosque might be pulled down but the worship of Allah will continue on the same structure until justice is done.
