… a year after he was listed as a member of The Security Institute
A top Nigerian Security Expert, Ambassador Abayomi Mumuni Nurain has defied all odds to bag the most-coveted Counter-Terrorism Certificate from the Certified Counter-Terrorism Practitioner Network based in the United Kingdom.
The certification is coming barely a year after he was recognised as a member of The Security Institute, a reputable Security Center in Europe.
In a release made available to newsmen by his media aide, Rasheed Abubakar, the certification is a demonstrable proof of knowledge and expertise in terrorism prevention, detection and deterrence.
According to the release, “Mumuni, a renowned Security Expert and author of internationally recognised books, ‘Global Terrorism & Its Effects on Humanity’ and ‘Demand by Terror’ applied for the certified counter-terrorism practitioners (CCTPs), which covered 14 modules and focuses on identifying the warning signs and red flags that indicate evidence of terrorism and terrorism risks.”
Mumuni noted that being awarded a certification by the CCTP Network does not come by chance, adding, “It is rather a result of hard work, resilience, brilliance, dedication and substantial contributions to the security of the world in general and one’s immediate environment in particular.
“The Counter-Terrorism Certificate is about your expertise on the field of counter-terrorism. To bag it, you must have been actively engaged as a security luminary for nothing less than 5 to 10 years with clear proofs from any of the state agencies. Of course, there is always a class session before the exams”.
Speaking on the project he worked on, Amb. Mumuni said, “The project was basically a site Risk Assessment, for the upcoming annual Festivities in Nottingham, Market Square.
“As a security luminary, we all know that risk assessment is often a prerequisite steps for the prevention of adversary attacks, also a decision making support tool. It was a rigorous project which entailed comprehensive analysis of the the site from North, South, West, East, also considering Grey areas within the Arena,” he added.
After going through all the rigorous processes including his project, the CCTP Network deemed it fit to award Amb Mumuni with its most-coveted certificate making him a Certified Counter-Terrorism Practitioner who has been trained in different techniques for combating terrorism in the society.
Amb. Mumuni, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who contested in the 2011 Lagos gubernatorial elections is currently working on his third book, titled “Women in Black “, to be released on September 11, 2020 to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
