• Aliyah Olambiwonnu bags 9 Awards to emerge Best Graduating Student in Dentistry
• Fatimah Adubiaro graduates with double degrees, carts away major Awards in Medicine and Surgery
History was once again made at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos’ 2018/2019 Induction Ceremony as a Muslimah, Aliyah Oluwabusayo Olambiwonnu swept all the awards in the Faculty of Densitry to emerge Best Graduating Student with distinction.
At the induction ceremony held on Friday, September 10 at Old Great Hall, CMUL, LUTH, Olambiwonnu was announced as the Best Graduating Student in Densitry, BDS, Oral Medicine, Perlodontology and Best All-round Performance in the Faculty of Dental Sciences.
Muslim News can authoritatively confirm that the Lagos State-born scholar emerged the Best Graduating Student in Restorative Densitry, Part II BDS, Faculty of Dental Sciences and the Best Cumulative Performances in Oral Pathology at 500Level and 600Level.
In a similar development, another Muslim lady, Fatimah Adubiaro was the cynosure of all eyes as she carted away 4 major prizes in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
The prizes the Ado-Ekiti State-born Muslimah won include: Best Final Year student in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Best Graduating Student in Obstetrics and Gynecology, part 1 and 2 and lastly, Best Graduating Student in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Muslim News learnt that Fatimah’s induction was unique and spectacular because she graduated with two degrees – an intercalated BSc Physiology and MBBS, with 10 distinctions overall during the course of studying at the medical school.
They were both members of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, CMUL chapter.
No fewer than 30 Muslims were among the 209 newly qualified medical and dental practitioners inducted today, Friday, at a colourful event well attended by family and friends.
Among them was Ogunleye Zaynab, the best MBBS student in Orthopedic Surgery.
