Jaiz Foundation CEO, Dr Abdullahi Shuaib’s mother dies at 80

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un  “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.” Q.2: 156

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation, Dr Abdullahi Shuaib, has lost his dearest mother, Hajiya Sefinat Shuaib.

The 80-year-old entrepreneur died in the early hours (around 1:15am) of Monday 9th January 2023 at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi in Lagos due to age and comorbidity.

Survived by five children out of seven, the late Hajiya Shuaib was a fashion designer and also ran a restaurant at Iponri Shopping Complex before her retirement.

Her surviving children include Dr Abdullahi Shuaib (the third child and now the eldest), Abbas, Aliyu, Aishah and Musa.

Dr Shuaib’s elder siblings Mohammed Lawal Shuaib, passed away about 27 years ago and Alhaji AbdulMalik Shuaib, the second child, died on November 4, 2021.

The Janazah for Hajiya Shuaib is scheduled for today at the Muslim Burial Ground, Jafojo, near Markaz Agege, Lagos between 1pm and 2pm.
