The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has congratulated Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, the executive governor of Borno State on his emergence as the recipient of the 2019 Nigeria Muslim Personality of the Year.
The award was initiated by Rawshield PR Media, the Publishers of Muslim News, Nigeria’s most authoritative Islamic newspaper.
Recall that Professor Zulum was declared winner of the most coveted award on Friday by the medium through a press statement issued by its Editor-in-chief, Rasheed Abubakar.
The news was reported in a number of Nigerian media outfits like Daily Trust, Vanguard, Guardian, among others.
In a message issued by Dr Pantami and made available to Muslim News on Sunday, the former NITDA boss congratulated Professor Zulum and prayed that his recognition benefits humanity.

Meanwhile, Dr Pantami was himself the first runner-up to Prof Zulum in the Top 5 Nigerian Muslim Personalities of the Year 2019.
Other finalists include Prof. Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyede, Prof Ishaq Lakin Akintola and Prof Fatima Batul Mukhtar.
The Nigerian Muslim Personalities of the Year is an annual award established to honour and celebrate outstanding Muslim achievers during the year for changing the narratives and flying the flag of Islam in their various professions.
It debuted last year and has been a prestigious award among Nigerian Muslims.
