The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Lagos State Area Unit, has extended hearty congratulations to Muslim graduates of the University of Lagos, on the occasion of the institution’s 55th convocation ceremonies which began on Monday, 13th January at the university’s main campus in Akoka.

In a statement issued by its Amir, Mallam Kamoldeen Abiona, the Muslim students body praised the resilient spirit of the graduates during the course of their programme, adding that their dedication and perseverance brought them the remarkable feats.

He said: “On behalf of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim graduates (Class of 2023/2024) of the University of Lagos on their successful convocation. Your dedication and perseverance have brought you this remarkable achievement, and we are immensely proud of you. May Allah make this the beginning of greater things in your life.”

He specifically lauded the high fliers, especially members that emerged top in their respective departments and faculties at all levels while expressing great confidence in their abilities.

“We are particularly thrilled by those among you who have achieved first class honours, best graduating students statuses of their faculties, departments, at all levels. It represents a testament to your hard work and commitment to excellence. As you now transition from the academic world to the dynamic challenges of the job market, we are confident in your ability to navigate this new phase of life effectively.”

He urged them to uphold Islamic values as they step into life after school.

“MSSN has consistently supported you throughout your academic journey, providing guidance on what is expected both in school and beyond. With this solid foundation, you are well-prepared to pursue successful careers, maintain dignity, and establish pious families aligned with Islamic values.”

He sermonised that they should always put Allah first in all that they do, and prayed that His blessings never part ways with them.
