* Three settlers killed, over 100 injured in ‘True Promise III’ operation
* Threatens to attack allies’ bases if they help stop strike on Israel
Iran’s retaliatory military operation caused massive destruction in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other parts of the occupied territories on Friday.
Israeli media, citing regime officials, report “unprecedented destruction” in Tel Aviv following Iran’s successful retaliatory military operation – True Promise III on Friday.
Israel’s military headquarters were struck after the attack, causing “significant damage” to the Zionist state’s equivalent of the Pentagon.
Alarming footage shared on social media — and verified by The New York Times — showed a strike slamming into an area that houses several military sites, including the Israel Defense Forces’ main command center.
The dramatic clips captured interceptor missiles firing into the sky moments before a blinding flash, a thunderous boom, and the explosion of an incoming warhead.
The death toll on Israel has risen to three, with 172 others injured, according to Israeli media reports, earlier Saturday morning, June 14.
A woman, who was injured in the first wave of missile strikes from Iran, succumbed to her injuries, according to Israel’s public broadcaster Kan.
Another two Israeli settlers who were injured in a later missile strike in central Israel have been pronounced dead, the broadcaster reported.
The number of Israelis injured in Iranian attacks rose to 172. They have been admitted to hospitals, the report said, adding that most of the wounded were in mild condition.
Some 300 Israelis in Greater Tel Aviv were evacuated after their homes were damaged, while 100 Israelis were evacuated in the municipality of Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv, the Channel 12 reported.
In the early hours of Friday, Israeli forces attacked Iran, hitting nuclear and missile facilities and killing over 104 innocent people, including top military commanders and scientists, and injuring nearly 380 others.
Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, speaking to state television, said the Operation True Promise III “will continue as long as necessary,” while vowing to avenge the blood of their commanders and innocent people who lost their lives.
Tehran also warned the three western allies (US, UK, Canada) that their bases and ships in the region will be targeted if they help stop strikes on Israel, state media report.
“Any country that participates in repelling Iranian attacks on Israel will be subject to the targeting of all regional bases of the complicit government, including military bases in the Persian Gulf countries and ships and naval vessels in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea by Iranian forces,” said a government statement quoted by Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency.
