Super Eagles captain and Nigerian Muslim Celebrity Person of the Year, Ahmed Musa on Friday donated $1,500 (about N600k) to support an ongoing building project at the Central Mosque in Garoua, Cameroon, according to multiple media reports.
The media aide to Musa also confirmed the story to be true when speaking with Muslim News on Saturday, January 22.
Complete Sports and other Nigerian media had earlier reported that Nigerian players and officials of the team have been worshipping at the Central Mosque located close to the Eagles camp (Hotel Le Ribadu) since their arrival in Garoua.
The kind gesture extended to the Muslim community after Solatul Jum’ah was to support the ongoing building project at the mosque.
