2. PROF. ISA ALI IBRAHIM RANTAMI (Overall winner, Nigerian Muslim Personality of the Year)
Prof. Pantami is currently the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy in Nigeria. Born in October 20, 1972 in Gombe State, Pantami, a renowned Islamic scholar, began his education by attending traditional school for memorizing the Noble Qur’an, called “Tsangaya School.” He later joined primary school in Pantami.
He attended Government Science Secondary School in Gombon Aftor his secondary education, he spent additional two years sucking for more religious knowledge before moving to the university. He studied Computer Science at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bau chi, Nigeria, gaining a B Tech in the 2003 Session and an MSc in 2008, before obtaining a PhD from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scot land. In August, 2021, the Honourable Minister was elevated to the rank of Professor at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. Read more HERE

Ahmed Musa is the captain of the Nigeria Super Eagles, and currently plays for Turkish Club Fatih Karagumruk. He is famously known for observing a sujood (prostration of gratitude) whenever he scores a goal. Musa, a philanthropist and role model to many youths has been a regular for the Super Eagles, featuring in two World Cups and two African Nations Cups, since breaking into the senior national team in September 2010. He became the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match, after bagging a brace against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Read more HERE

Dr. Bakar is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Amanie Group. One of its flagship companies namely Amanie Advisors, is operating in 6 cities globally. He currently serves. as the Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Council at the Central Bank of Malaysia, the Securities Commission of Malaysia, the Labuan Financial Services Authority, and the First Abu Dhabi Bank. He is also a Shariah board member of various global financial institutions, including the National Bank of Oman (Oman), Amundi Asset Management (Erance), Bans of London and Middle East (London), BNP Paribas (Bahrain), and Dow Jones Islamic Market Index (New York) amongst many others. MAK is presently the Chief Financial Officer/Executive Director, MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, a position he assumed on 1st March 2020. He joined MTN Nigeria in 2007 as the general manager, financial operations and held various positions within the 5 nance division in August 2014, he joined Scancom Plc as the chief financial officer and was appointed executive director in April 2016, a position he held until 29 February 2020. 7. UGUR SAHIN AND ÖZLEM TÜRECI (Global Health Persons of the Year)
Uğur is a Turkish-born oncologist and entrepreneur in Germany, and founder of BioNTech, together with his wife, Özlem, a physician, immunologist and cancer researcher with translational and clinical experience. The Muslim couple developed COVID-19 vaccine in less than a year. which is globally applauded and considered to be a remarkable scientific and business success. Read more HERE
8. DR SALIU OYELAMI
(NIgerian Muslim Health Person of the Year)
Dr. Oyelami is a Muslim Medical doctor, from Okua, Odo-Otin, Osun State. He had his education from primary to higher institution in Ilorin, Kwara State. He was a one time Amir of Kwara State Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) between 2003 and 2005. Also, the former Chief Imam of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) in 2010. He is currently the National Vice President II of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN). He is the Medical Director of Shifauk Hospital and Aroleorisun Medical Mission. Read more HERE
9. NURY TURKEL

Turkel is the first US-educated Uyghur-American lawyer and human rights advocate. He was born in a re-education camp in China’s Xinjiang province and has been advocating for the rights of the Uyghur people in this region. Turkel serves as a prominent voice for the Uyghur people by urging international action against their repression in China, advocating policies such as sanctions against Chinese government officials who actively participate in the abuse of human rights. 10. BARRISTER IBRAHIM YAKUBU UMAR (Nigerian Muslim Legal Person of the Year)
Barr. Umar was born in 1962 at Nabordo, Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State. He attended his elementary education at Tafawa Balewa/Liman Katagum Primary School and GSS Bauchi respectively from 1966 to 1979. By 1980, he got admitted into University of Maiduguri and by 1982/1983, he became the President of Law Students Association of the University and obtained his law degree in 1984, By 1985, he attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and was called to the Nigeria Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of Nigeria. 11. MOHAMED ALI HARRATH

Mohamed Ali Harrath, a Tunisian-born and UK-based activist turned media entrepreneur has been able to sustain the world’s leading faith-based media, Islam Channel, for more than a decade. In addition, through the medium, the media guru has created jobs for thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims since the channel was founded in October 2004.
Harrath has changed the world’s perception of Islam and its adherents as violent. He introduced this alternative media which has its headquarters in the UK. Interestingly, the English language, Islam-focused satellite television channel is being broadcast to millions of Muslims worldwide including Nigeria (on several DTH platforms). Read more HERE
12. ALHAJI FEMI ABBAS

Alhaji Femi Abbas is a renowned faith-based (Islamic) columnist and media professional with experience spanning about 40 years in the industry.
A former staff of the defunct Concord Newspaper owned by the late MKO Abiola, Alhaji Abbas now writes a weekly Islamic column tagged ‘The Message’ for The Nation newspaper where he has been analysing issues affecting Islam and Muslims in Nigeria and the world for more than a decade. Read more HERE
